Job description, responsibilities and duties
The job description of a Senior Buyer in our company is:

  • responsibility for entrusted commodities (direct and indirect material)
  • analytical work (market, prices)
  • preparation of documents for the creation of commodity strategies
  • active cooperation with existing suppliers, evaluation of cooperation and profitability
  • monitoring the fulfillment of contractual conditions with suppliers
  • searching, contacting and negotiating with new and current suppliers
  • negotiations with suppliers
  • organizing public tenders
  • creating reports and tracking material costs
  • implementing improvements and optimizing the use of resources in order to reduce costs
  • escalation management process design
  • resolution of supplier escalations in coordination with power unit managers and supply chain crisis managers
  • preparation of presentations
  • processing of all purchase activities of this circuit through the individual steps of the escalation cycle

Employee requirements

Applicants with education are suitable for the positionextension/higher professional education

university (Bachelor's or Master's degree)

Education in the field
Engineering, Logistics, Economics

Professional experience preferably in the field of:
production, mechanical engineering, automotive industry, electrical engineering

Language skills
English Language - Advanced (C1) or German language - Advanced (C1)

Other knowledge
Microsoft Word - Advanced
Microsoft Excel - Advanced
Microsoft Outlook - Advanced
SAP R/3 – Moderately advanced (especially knowledge of the MM module, work with statements, reports)

Driving licence
B
