Client in the Czech Republic – a major manufacturer in the aviation industry

Project 1 - client in the Czech Republic - a major manufacturer in the aviation industry dealing with the development, production, sale and service of military aircraft and components for civil aviation technology.

Project duration: 18 months

The implemented project included the following steps:

    • Analysis of potential savings in the area of purchasing direct and indirect materials and services
    • Implementation of "Supplier Days" for 60 key suppliers of materials for the production of the main product
      • following the negotiation of business conditions
      • revision and updating of business contracts
      • holding tenders on behalf of the client for suppliers of office equipment (printers), auxiliary materials and tools, agency employees

    • Implementation phase - by direct involvement in the client's purchasing organization and ongoing controlling, we helped to ensure that the optimized purchasing conditions were consistently implemented and the actual benefits fulfilled the identified savings potential to the maximum extent possible.

    • Analysis of potential savings in the optimization of production technology (machining), "make-or-buy" analysis
    • A planned and implemented series of operational tests with the aim of optimizing process times in relation to the type of tools used and the parameters of the processed materials
      • As a result of tests, analyzes and calculations, the client received a set of proposals and recommendations for adjusting technological procedures, procuring more suitable production tools and possibly investing in more modern machines

 

The results:

The goal set by the client - savings: EUR 5.9 million

Potential savings identified at the beginning of the project: EUR 4.5 million

Real "cash-in" savings achieved during the project: EUR 1.0 million

Implemented optimizations with savings in the next 12 months: EUR 1.2 million

 

Conclusion:

After the implementation of all proposed and pre-agreed steps, together with the client we could conclude that due to the significant negative impact of the Corona virus pandemic and its impact on the world economy during the project, the joint project and its results were successful.
